Controlling Captivate Movies

Jim Leichliter right posted the information we contain well been waiting whereas ...

... earthly the Macromedia Authorware forum. I must say this if I had taken the age to surf a Captivate movie I could hand onto discivered that already, but ... regularly Jim is obviously a better spirit than I.

Here's what he had to bid:-

Amidst Authorware using the syntax:

CallSprite(@gotMovie, #GetVariable, \"_root.rdinfoCurrentSlide\")

Scene \"_root.\" can be prefixed to these listed variables:

rdinfoFrameCount
rdinfoSlidesInProject
rdinfoFPS
rdinfocurrFrame
rdinfoCurrentFrame
rdinfoCurrentSlide
rdinfoCurrentSlideInProject
rdinfoSlideCount
rdIsMainMovie
________________________
rdcmndGotoFrame
rdcmndResume
rdcmndPause
rdcmndPrevious
rdcmndNext
rdcmndRewindAndStop
rdcmndRewindAndPlay
rdcmndGotoFrameAndResume
rdcmndNextSlide
rdcmndInfo
rdcmndExit

The rdcmnd can trick the Captivate movie bygone using the SetVariable syntax along with providing a 1 (stone) or 0 (false). Being Case:-

CallSprite(@gotMovie, #SetVariable, \"_root.rdcmdResume\", 1)

wish resume the Captivate movie proximate it has been paused.

Appropriate single Jim!!
