"I found this decorative gate at a little shop in town and I thought it would make a cute bulletin board. I love it because it looks so cute and dainty and yet I have really wacky images hanging from it. I like the dichotomy. I guess it's a little unexpected and that is just the way I like to live, create art and decorate my home. I just like to be amused."

"Closet turned into desk nook area. I don't have an official studio. I work in my dining room and in a guest bedroom. I transformed one of the spare bedrooms in my home into a guest room/ studio inspiration room for me. This image is of the desk area where I work. It originally was a closet in the spare bedroom. I removed the shelves and the doors and created a cute little desk nook. It saves space since the room is small and what once was a sterile closet is now a happy little haven of inspiration. I just love the juicy colors and the whimsy. I get so much inspiration from just being in this space."

"Close up of desk I painted. (it's my furniture from childhood) A pretty sap bucket holds an assortment of wrapping paper and a vintage mini canister is my pen holder."

"Some sketches that I have been working on. Some are drawings and that I'm using for a commission piece. The other's are actually old sketches that I'm getting inspiration from."

"A postcard I drew and painted in Italy and sent to my husband. I put it in a frame that I bought at Anthropologie and just hung it on a pretty ladder back chair in the room. It's one of those funny little things that makes me smile when I see it. It definitely reminds me of my wonderful trip." -DE
